Anne R. Margolis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in Rational-Emotive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (RE-CBT) - a form of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), which allows for effective treatment of individuals of all age groups. She specializes in Pediatrics and Young Adults, as well as Family Psychotherapy.  She focuses her practice on the evaluation and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety Disorders and Mood Disorders.  She also treats those struggling with Life Stage Transitions, Relationship Struggles, Familial and Behavioral issues, Social Skills Deficits, Communication Disorders (i.e. Expressive and Receptive Language Disorders), as well as Learning Disabilities. 


Mrs. Margolis offers different levels of care for those who require more comprehensive and integrated treatment models.  Ms. Margolis’ clients are able to receive support across the multiple areas of influence that are simultaneously impacting a child’s or family’s functioning.  Ms. Margolis will gather extensive background information by consulting with those involved in her client’s care. She is willing to travel to collaboratively consult with other providers included in your child’s treatment while organizing a system for ongoing communication unparalleled in typical private practice settings. Interventions can occur within the scholastic arena, familial, social or after-school environments.  Interventions also commonly occur with other medical providers and professional supports, such as tutors and specialists. 

Mrs. Margolis is a graduate of New York University’s Shirley M. Ehrenkranz’s School of Social Work located in New York City. She received her Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work and completed training in Clinical Psychotherapy with a heavy emphasis on Abnormal Psychology, Family and Pediatric Practice, as well as Multicultural Issues and Grant Administration. She earned her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Boston University in Boston, MA. There, she trained in several areas of research mainly focusing on Infant’s Theory of Mind, as well as Hospital Administration and Anxiety Disorders at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Her post-graduate training was completed at the world-renowned psychotherapy training institution, the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City.

Ms. Margolis currently lectures on the treatment of Psychiatric Illness, Learning Disorders and the idea of a Multi-Systemic approach for the treatment of children.  She holds professional memberships with the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work (NYSSCSW), National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Albert Ellis Institute for Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and with the New York State Education Department - Office of the Professions (NYSED OP).

Ms. Margolis has been in Private Practice since 2003 and has been working with Familyhealth Associates since 2006. She currently practices out of both the White Plains and New York City offices.
