Alan Wachtel, MD

Dr. Wachtel, a board certified psychiatrist, is the founder and director of Familyhealth Associates and treats patients of all ages. He is a graduate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he also completed his psychiatric residency. He was a fellow at Payne Whitney, New York Hospital and a Clinical Associate Professor at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Wachtel is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Wachtel is the author of “The Attention Deficit Answer Book.” He lectures throughout the country on the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, learning, mood and behavioral disorders throughout the life cycle. He regularly appears on television and radio programs, and he is quoted in publications as an expert on these disorders.

Dr. Wachtel is the founder and President of Familyhealth Studies, a not-for-profit organization, and a member of Advisory Boards of numerous not-for-profit organizations.

 

Alberto Escallon, MD

Dr. Alberto Escallon is a board-certified Child & Adolescent and Adult psychiatrist. He attended medical school at The Xaverian School Of Medicine in Bogota, Colombia S.A., from 1992 to 1998. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York from 2003 to 2007 and then a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at St Vincent's Catholic Medical Center in New York from 2007 to 2009. Dr. Escallon also completed a two year fellowship in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at New York University. Dr. Escallon served as the Director of Child & Adolescent Outpatient services at Mt Sinai St Luke's Hospital where he was also an Assistant Professor for the Department of Psychiatry. 

Dr. Escallon sees clients of all ages. He does psychiatric evaluations, consultations, psychopharmacologic (medication) management, and psychotherapy. His areas of expertise include ADHD,  Mood Disorders, Trauma and Anxiety.

 
 
 

Jonathan Wachtel, MD

Dr. Jonathan Wachtel is a board certified Child & Adolescent and Adult psychiatrist and treats patients of all ages. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Grossman School of Medicine at NYU Langone.

He attended medical school at Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University and graduated with the Excellence in Basic Research award. He completed his adult psychiatry residency at Stony Brook University Hospital, followed by a two-year fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Grossman School of Medicine at NYU Langone.

Dr. Wachtel provides psychiatric evaluations, consultations, psychopharmacology (medication management) and individual therapy. His areas of expertise include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, tic disorders, and trauma-related disorders.

 

Laura Andreski, DO

Dr. Laura Andreski is a board certified Child & Adolescent and Adult psychiatrist and treats patients of all ages. She is an Attending Physician in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry within the Department of Psychiatry at Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

She received her medical training at NYCOM. She completed her adult psychiatry residency at Stony Brook University Hospital followed by a two-year fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. During fellowship, she was selected as a Chief Fellow and a Teaching Associate in Psychiatry.

Dr. Andreski provides psychiatric evaluations, consultations, psychopharmacology (medication management), and individual therapy. Her areas of expertise include anxiety and mood disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), OCD, tic disorders, and eating disorders.
